Olena Milirud
Birth and Postpartum Doula - trained DONA International
Hi, I’m Olena, and I’m so thrilled you’re here! My path to becoming a doula was more than a career decision — it was a calling. Sudden, exciting, and profoundly meaningful. I’ve always felt a deep, instinctual pull to nurture and empower women, and being an empath my whole life naturally led me to this work. My own birth and postpartum experiences were transformative and life-changing, and they continue to inspire how I show up for each family I serve.
I received my Birth and Postpartum Doula training through the Simkin Center at Bastyr University.
Additional training:
When Survivors Give Birth. Foundational & Advanced Training, Simkin Center at Bastyr University,
TENS for Labor Support Training with Sharon Muza,
Spinning Babies (2025)
Each training deepens my ability to provide evidence-based care, hands-on comfort measures, and grounded emotional support.
I was born and raised in the beautiful country of Ukraine, and for the past ten years, I’ve proudly called Washington State my home. I’m fluent in English, Ukrainian, and Russian, which allows me to connect with families from many backgrounds and help each one feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
Outside of birth work, I’m a wife, a mother to a spirited toddler, and a cat mom. Our family loves exploring the Pacific Northwest — from peaceful forest walks to snowboarding in the mountains.
Thank you for considering me to be part of this special chapter in your life. I can’t wait to walk alongside you on your journey into parenthood.
